PAPERCULT was born out of four different student artists' urge to stay inspired over the summer. We wanted to use a collaborative art blog as a medium to help encourage eachother to expand our illustration skills and build our portfolios, and learn from eachother. Though our illustrative influences and ambitions may be similar, our styles and approaches are vastly different, which will hopefully keep this blog interesting. Expect to see some explorations in character design, sequential art, storyboarding, concept illustration, animation and fine art.
Without further ado, welcome to the launch of our new blog. Keep your eyes peeled for our first round of illustrations within the next couple of days. For the rest of the summer we will be posting illustrations each week under new themes that we'll come up with. When the school year starts, we hope to continue this blog going, and will start posting our individual student works. Feel free to comment on any of the works that are yet to come.
